You will also quickly spot the distractions that would otherwise lure you from your course. This workshop will help you properly set clearly defined and measurable goals that will provide focus, organize your time and resources. You will break your goals into small and large goals and 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, and 10 years. We'll start the process with you identifying your Lifetime Goals and work down to the things you can do today to start moving towards them. This is a workshop for all brothers, whether you are 18, 28, 38, or 58. Come prepared to learn, work and engage.

Navigating cross-generational communications and promoting Diversity is one of the most valuable and essential components to Leadership.” For the first time in our country's history, there are four distinct generations working side by side-Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials. Each generation has very different values, ideas, communication methods, and approaches to completing assignments. They also have significantly different motivational and engagement factors. Understanding what drives each generation and their underlying experiences is key to creating a cohesive professional environment where people feel valued and empowered to focus on their strengths, honor their differences, and celebrate their contributions.

In this workshop, we will make the business case of why our alumni chapters are vital to our communities in which we live. We will discover ways and develop plans to be an impactful alumni chapter in your community. We will discuss creative strategies for continued engagement with government and civic leaders, university officials, corporate and community leaders.

What does it mean to be good? For that matter, what does it mean to be great? The answer to these questions will vary based on who you ask. This arbitrary determination frequently translates into subjective measures that result in your chapter engaging in a lot of activity without making a significant impact. In this workshop we will teach you how capture the “voice” of your chapter’s stakeholders, identify your current level of performance and chart a course of action that will take your chapter from where it is, to where needs to be. Attendees will learn how capture the critical requirements of all chapter stakeholders, translate those requirements into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop a plan to take their chapters from where they are to where they need to be.

In this learning lab, we will discuss the role chapters play in the fraternity's overall structure and design. We will review the Chapter officer and member accountabilities in the chapter management process as well as learn the importance of effective management practices and operations at the chapter level. We will review the Fraternity's Manual of Standard Procedures and other Fraternity documents to clarify the procedures that enable the membership to execute the regulations contained in the Constitution and Bylaws.

The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. brand is an important asset to our Fraternity. Consistency in branding and imagery builds brand equity, which in turn supports a strong foundation for organizational growth. Effective branding creates and supports instant recognition and value for each of our chapters and the fraternity at large. Brand equity provides us with a value base from which we can more effectively work together to achieve our goals as one recognized organization. This learning lab will help clarify the procedures that enable the membership to execute and promote consistent protocols and branding throughout the Fraternity.
